Advanced course in Epidemiology
The Italian National Centre for Epidemiology, Surveillance and Health Promotion organized its annual advanced course in Epidemiology. The course was held in Rome, from the 19th to the 23rd of October at the Italian National Institute of Health.
The course was addressed to health professional engaged in epidemiological activities. It aimed at making participants familiar with the epidemiological study designs, in particular in relation to the concept of bias interaction and confounding.
This year, as always, the course was held by professor Moyses Szklo, director of the Department of Epidemiology and Chronic Diseases of the John Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, and director of the American Journal of Epidemiology.
The course is part of the training activities carried out since almost twenty years, by the Clinical Epidemiology and Guidelines Unit of the National Centre for Epidemiology, Surveillance and Health Promotion of the Italian National Institute of Health.
